BANGKOK, THAILAND TRIP – PATHUMWAN PRINCESS HOTEL BANGKOK, YR 2019 – LEE MENG HUAT

We headed to Bangkok Thailand, early December for 7 days with the whole family. My wife, my 3 children and myself stayed at Pathumwan Princess Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand. We travelled during the peak season thus it was crowded and when it comes to the weather, Thailand generally has the same weather as Malaysia.

We would rate our experience as 4 Star with Interval International because the booking process was immediate via the exchange booking system, Overall, we would say that our booking process is quite good, accurate and fast. We flew through Malaysia Airlines and which cost us about RM2,100 for 5 Pax. Since we booked it few months ahead, we were quite lucky to get it at a reasonable price.

Our main aim for this trip was to bring our children to see and experience another country’s culture and heritage. We visited a few nice places in Bangkok, namely Bangkok River Cruise at Chao Praya River and Golden Mountain Temple. It was indeed a great time for our family experiencing a short distance of cruising while enjoying meals and some good music on board. We did some shopping and went to night market to get some souvenirs. We really enjoyed nice food like Tom Yum Goong, Green Curry Chicken and Fried morning glory. We spend approximately RM200 per day for food in total for 5 of us.

Although our stay was in Bangkok, we rented a car to Khao Yai and stayed there for 3 days 2 nights. It was just two to three hours’ drive from Bangkok and along the way we visited the wine factory, Thanaratch Elephants and chocolate factory. My children were excited when they had the chance to feed the elephants and get to taste some local made chocolates.

The hotel which we had stayed was fully equipped with a swimming pool, gym, jacuzzi and many others. It’s a single unit together with a living area and we love the hotel. We will rate the hotel as 4 out of 5 star.

Being a member of SGI VC encourages me to travel using the membership and the hotels being offered by Interval International is really good. Both SGI Vacation Club and interval International acts very fast and they have pleasant staffs. I enjoyed all the facilities given in the hotel wherever I go.

We would like to advise the members to fully utilize the entitlement nights from your membership. You can access to a wider destinations and its much cheaper as compared to normal travelling.
