LAS VEGAS, NEVADA TRIP – TAHITI VILLAGE, YR 2019 – LEOW TACK LEAN

We went to Las Vegas via interval international and I would say it was an amazing trip. We were there from the 17^th December – 24^th December 2019 and we stayed at Tahiti Village which was very close by to a lot of nice places. It was considered winter during the period we were there. Although it was freezing cold but it was still manageable which was slightly above average coldness and dryness. During the day, the sun is up the weather was just perfect for us.

 

Our booking experience using Interval International exchange would be rated as 5 Star because it was an immediate confirmation. The booking process took about one week to finally secure our accommodation using the booking Exchange. Overall their booking process is quite good, accurate and fast, very detailed and we found the right person to handle the booking.

 

We flew through China Southern Airlines CZ350 with one stop at Guangzhou to Los Angeles which we purchased during Matta Fair. From Los Angeles, we took another flight to Portland for a stop at our daughter’s place for 3 days and from there we took their domestic airlines named Spirit to Las Vegas. In total we spend approximately RM7,500 for flight for my wife and myself.

 

One of the interesting places we visited was Vegas Strip which is located at a stretch of South Las Vegas Boulevard in Clark County, Nevada which is known for its resort hotels and casinos concentration and definitely a must go if you were to visit Las Vegas. Its so nice that we kept going there almost every other day.  When it comes to food, we had fish and chips at Danny’s and they served using the best fish and chips. In short, the portion for the fish and chips was very big and satisfactory. We also had Dim Sum somewhere along the street which was managed by a Malaysian Chinese from Ipoh. We spent approximately RM1,500 for food for (7) days and that seems to be quite a reasonable price for two persons.

 

Our typical day was pretty simple as we will wake up to have our breakfast in the hotel because we can cook our own. It’s easier actually and after breakfast, we will leave and start our journey to visit places of interest and only come back to the hotel around 9pm daily. Most of the places are just walking distance from the place we stayed. Even the mini-market where we buy our bacons, sausages and eggs from breakfast is so near.

 

In my opinion, the hotel we stayed was 1^st class hotel because it was spacious and the services provided is simply marvellous. We just love the hotel and everything else in Las Vegas. Since the hotel is situated near a shopping mall, we saw many activities like flying fox, live band performances and many others in the mall itself.

 

One of the highlights of the trip was giving a big surprise to my husband. We rented a Corvette Stingray! We (myself, my daughter and my son-in-law) planned this as my husband love cars. So, when my son-in- law drove it and stop in front of my husband to fetch him from the street, he was just speechless. The car rental was USD200 per night. We just rented for a day and it’s a worthwhile surprise.

 

We are glad to join this membership because it makes us happy and their services provided is good, the product is value for money and accommodation in overseas using Interval International exchange is simply the best because of quality hotels / resorts being offered and of course you don’t need to pay anything for accommodation fee.

 

We would like to advise SGI VC members to use their entitlement to travel overseas. It’s really worth it and should not be wasted because you won’t be able to get the opportunity to travel overseas with no charges for accommodation except the exchange fees that you need to pay which is still a lot cheaper than paying for a room in overseas.
